“Who was he for me?… He seemed like a calm man.” – twelfth fragment of Martha’s book

He was also sometimes assigned by the manager, to explain to me how I am supposed to work, because I was a new employee. He was kind, polite, and patient. When he could, he was giving me and other workers a ride to work, when we were starting on the same hour. We came back from work also together. But before that, at the very beginning, we had a taxi for workers, which was taken away from us. At that time we were all giving each other a ride. To me he was a hard-working, and he didn’t like when someone was lazy. He seemed like a calm man.

I want to help

Please do not send confidential information to Martha by letter – please use other “path”.

Please do not send Martha important, confidential information or suggestions.

We value very much the desire to help Martha.
Many people suggests some solutions and sends some information.
They concern Martha and they should reach her.
But do they reach her?
Martha is in a place, wher she has guardians (not angels).
If someone decides to send a letter to Martha, first people the letter reaches are those “not angels”.
And they will read, read, read, translate, read, analyze, we don’t know if they won’t start to look at the author, etc…
And later…
Maybe they will decide… someday… to pass the letter to Martha…
Or not…
Or maybe they will hold the letter so long, that  suggestions included in the letter will cease to be valid…

Do we have any proof?
Few examples.
We have information from people, who sent letters to Martha long ago, with a proposal of help, and those letters didn’t reach Martha at all.
In May those “not angels” made it difficult for Martha to change her solicitor. Only thanks to the determination of the family and friends, against GARDA, the solicitor was changed.
Recently, Martha’s family received a letter with suggestions from Martha. The letter arrived only now.
Martha passed the letter for sending long ago. So long ago, that she even forgot she passed such letter.

This few examples show, that GARDA still has interest in the case of Martha and that it is afraid of something in the case.
There are no doubts, that current verdict is ridiculing the logic of Irish legislation.
The change of the verdict will ridicule Irish GARDA.
It will happen sometime…
Some may only count that they will already be retired at that time…
And now the girl suffers…

We ask people having important information, that may be helpful in freeing Martha, to send the information to Martha via “another path”.
Please contact us via mail:        help@helpformartha.org
             or via solicitor’s mail:  mreynolds@ecgearty.ie
Phone contact:       (+353) 043-3346312
Mail contact:              E.C. Gearty & Co. Solicitors
4/5 Church Street
Longford
Ireland

All extremely important information on Martha’s case passed that way, will reach Martha most quickly and they certainly be complete.
Most important they will stay secret for GARDA.
Please provide information and suggestions without worries.
Martha will be free sooner or later.
May as soon as possible…

We thank you very much for all suggestions addressed for us or for Martha’s solicitor.
Thank you very much for all the direct correspondence to Martha, which supports her mentally in those difficult moments.

“Does Martha speak, read and write in English?” – most letters in English come from Ireland – Thank You

“Does Martha speak, read and write in English?”
“The language of Martha’s heart and thoughts” is Polish.
When coming to Dochas Centre prison, Martha used English language on a level enabling basic communication (we are not linguists, therefore we can’t asses professionally Martha’s knowledge of English language).
In prison Martha finished next stages of learning English language.
Today she uses English far better then 2 years ago.

She probably speaks English better, reads a bit worse, and writes the worst… but… to answer the question…
If someone doesn’t know Polish language, then
We invite you to write letters to Martha in English…
Martha has certainly problems with legal English language, but that kind of letters please send to us or to Martha’s solicitor, not to Martha herself.
Martha also responds every letter, so she will try to respond in English also.

We thank very much to all people using English language for interest in Martha’s case.
Currently most of letters in English, comes to Martha from Ireland.
It’s nice, when other people, besides family, friends and compatriots, declare will to help. All advice and information are exceptionally valuable.
Thank you.

The family keeps Martha updated about comments on websites and fan pages

Martha’s family runs websites http://pomocdlamarty.pl and http://helpformartha.org
The family also runs two facebook fan pages: Justice for Marta and Help for Martha.

Martha isn’t very happy with the existence of the websites.
This is not the kind of “popularity” she was dreaming of.
But now there’s no other option…
The websites are needed…
For the family this isn’t the dream job also…
Martha trusts her family, that things presented on the websites are needed for her case.
As long as Martha’s tragedy continues, the websites will testify about what grave injustice Martha met in Ireland.

Answering one of the questions: Martha doesn’t have access to the Internet in prison.
Different comments appear on the websites and fan pages.
Some of them even take the form of speaking with Martha.
The family reads those comments to Martha during telephone calls.

Martha is touched by kindness of many people she has never met.
Martha thanks everyone  for all the help and all the kind words.

“Who was he for me?… He had a kind heart when speaking of his family” – eleventh fragment of Martha

Who was he for me?

I first met him when I started working in the same hotel. We have known each other for two years but it wasn’t a close acquaintance. We were from different environments. He had his colleagues and spent the time with them. We never went together anywhere and there was no romantic or sexual relation between us. For the first year Csaba was courteous man. He had a kind heart when speaking of his family.

Hours seem long in prison – Martha is searching for occupation

There is no classes during summer holiday time.
Only some classes take place.
Those which are available Martha had already finished.
So hours seem exceptionally long…

Martha is searching for occupation, to fill the time.
Until now she was avoiding fitness, but last Friday, she let second inmate to get Martha out.
It was a first time for Martha.
They went together and Martha was pleased.
Fitness is a part of the Gym.
(Fitness equipment can be seen on a video we presented on August 6).

Yesterday Martha went for knitting classes and musical classes.
She played drums.
In gave her a lot of joy,
She was happy that today she was supposed to play ukulele.
Small things, little joys…
And time passes, and passes….

On evenings work at the library, and thick, English books – learning for the exams…

Images painted by Martha displayed in the prison – an acknowledgment of Martha’s taleng or a demonstration of ignorance? – please watch

Two contentious paintings done by Martha, were displayed last week on the wall at Dochas Centre prison in Dublin.

Why contentious?
We were writing about them a lot, (to some people too much), among others on February 3, 2018:
“Martha didn’t give those paintings “for storing” until she will get out of prison. Those paintings left the prison legally and their indisputable owner is Martha’s sister. Those paintings are not the property of the prison.”

This doesn’t stop prison authorities to demonstratively hang them on the wall instead of returning them to the rightful owner.
They are displayed on the wall in the room near the metal detector gate.
It’s the first control room in Dochas Centre.
Near the gate that one walks through, there’s a conveyor with a monitor and a small chamber for X-raying small things: shoes, belts, coats etc.

Is displaying the paintings an expression of appreciation of Martha’s talent?
We agree that Martha, with her personality and talent, definitely stands out in the Dochas Centre.

Or maybe hanging those paintings is a clear demonstration of ignorance of the Dochas Centre prison?
It’s nothing, that a rightful owner – Martha’s sister, requests their return.
GARDA in Ireland can do what it wants.

We don’t know what motives guided the authorities of Dochas Centre prison.
But thanks to that, the paintings can be viewed.
They are in the room that anyone can enter.
So we invite You to see Martha’s creations personally.
You don’t need to visit anyone in Dochas Centre to see the paintings.
All you have to do is to enter between 10-12 a.m. or 2-4 p.m. (exceptTuesday).
You must press the button at the door in front of Mountjoy Prison (near the small  roundabout).
After entering, just tell the person at the duty office, that you wanted to see Martha’s paintings andturn left left.
The paintings are displayed in the room near the gates.

The paintings can be viewed, and the counter of ignorance is ticking…
By today it’s 202 days.
For 202 days now, the paintings made by Martha, are unlawfully held by prison authorities of Dochas Centre in Ireland.

Martha on a meeting with Gary Cunningham in Dochas Centre – an author of a novel “Joys of Joy. Finding myself in an Irish Prison”

Last week, on Wednesday or Thursday, a meeting with Gary Cunningham was held in Dochas Centre.
Gary Cunningham wrote a book about his imprisonment in Ireland.
He was imprisoned in Mountjoy Prison in Dublin.
He wrote the book while still being incarcerated.

On the general meeting with women imprisoned in Dochas Centre, he talked about how this book was created. Behind the scenes of creating his novel was very interesting.
The meeting took place at the Gym.
It lasted for about an hour.

After the meeting, Gary Cunningham asked Martha to stay.
He devoted several minutes to Martha, giving her personal advice on how to write a book while being imprisoned.
Thank you very much for your interest in Martha and her activity.
Martha writes a book about a tragedy that happened to her.
Part of the book is created now, in prison.
The next part, Martha will finish on freedom.

We have noted a visit to our site helpformartha.org from… Vatican – thank you for your interest in Martha’s case

On August 2, 2018, we have noted a special visit to our English language site helpformartha.org.
The visit was made from a place marked by the system as: Vatican.
We are very pleased with the visit.
We will not determine further details.
Just the fact of visit from the presented location, gives some hope.
Every interest counts, and we thank vor it very much.

In 2016, Martha’s mother wrote a letter to the Pope.
On December 28, 2016, in the name of His Holiness Francis, a responce was sent for the mother.

In 2018, some time ago, Martha’s mother sent another letter to the Pope.
Do the current visits to our sites from Vatican have any connection to Martha’s Mother’s plea for help?

Pope Francis is supposed to visit Ireland soon.
The visit is planned for August 25 and 26, 2018.
Initially, the visit plan likely included a visit in the prison.
But in the men’s one: Mountjoy Prison.
Both prisons, men’s and wowmen’s are divided by… an asphalt road.
We don’t know the current visit plan for the Pope Francis’ visit in Ireland.
We don’t know if there will be a visit in Mountjoy Prison.
But we will observe the visit of Pope Francis in Ireland closely.
