We start sharing fragments of book being written by Martha.
This is original manuscript, without corrections. Please do not hate Martha for multiple spelling errors. Printed version will be error free.
Here let it be additional “flavour”, showing true, sincere Martha. Plain and good girl, with awful spelling, but with rich, sensitive inside.
What do I think about?
About the accident, about him, and his family. Most often I think “WHY?”. Most often I think about my family. About past and future life. About love surrounding me, familiar and friendly. How long? When? Why? Why? About justice and the power of people holding it. How to teach myself to live with all of this? Get over it? And believe.
I’m not hiding it, I have an anger in me, and it even makes me mad, that I have it. I don’t want to have it inside, but it goes along with sadness, disappointment, fear. I always think about what I have. Great love and my family’s fight, and I know, that I must be strong for them, and not let myself go crazy. They are everything to me, they always were and always will be. Sometimes I think about other women here, that maybe they are who they are because no one loves them? Or maybe they don’t have family? I don’t know, I don’t understand many things here, especially women with children, very sad thing. I think a lot about my great love, tiny dog who died. Her name was Figa (she was a Chihuahua). It certainly wouldn’t happen if I only was with her. My heart aches, but I try to explain this to myself, that now she is my little angel.
On December 14, 2017 Martha started writing a book.
The book will present, through Martha’s eyes, a precise depiction of situations in Martha’s life in Ireland. Detailed relations and descriptions of what Martha’s life in Ireland looked like. The events that led to the tragedy. Depiction of the accident itself and the moments following the tragedy. The investigation, trials and stay in prison.
Life writes further scenarios. Although Martha is in prison, still a lot is happening.
Life will write the end of this book. Will it finish in happy ending?
Martha’s sister took up the task of printing the book. For understandable reasons, the book will be finished by Martha after getting out of prison.
Is the book necessary?
Death of every human needs truth. Her we also have the tragedy of the survivor. Absurd and preposterous accusation. Glaring injustice and discrimination in the foreign country.
We’ve heard multiple times, that this is a story not only for a book, but even for a movie.
The best person to describe the situation, is the only direct witness and the person whom the tragedy involves.
Will anyone, in some time, want to read to book and buy it?
We don’t know that.
We will publish selected fragments of what will get into the book on our pages.
If the book would become popular, and bring some financial income, would it help Martha’s family in submitting the case to European Court of Human Rights?
The case will probably make her way for ECHR before that.
After regaining freedom Martha will certainly need very specialist psychological help. She went through a great trauma in the form of accident, and things she is still going through affect her psyche in a very negative way.
Martha’s family deplores very much the fact, that such help, despite multiple efforts, is not being given to her in Ireland. Never was such help granted to Martha in Ireland.
The family, in turn, regards caring for Martha’s quite good psychic condition, as far as possible in the unfavourable circumstance, as a matter of utmost importance in helping Martha.
On Tuesday Martha shared her joy with us – she is taking new lessons: sewing on the machine. She joyfully talked about how she used the sewing machine for the first time.
As of now Martha holds about 10 certificates of completion of different courses. Currently Martha attends few courses, among them: Red Cross, English language, cooking, artistic, and sewing. Martha have already finished few English language courses. Martha is interested in what courses are available. She regrets that every day only 3 lessons are allowed. In the class can be only 6 people. Therefore it is not always possible to get to a given course. In that case, one is enrolled on the list of waiting people.
Martha’s family is glad, that Martha finds her “little joys”, and she enjoys small, simple things. She is still helpful to others, kind. Being good and doing something for others makes her happy.
We feel sorry for “small” people with even “lower” motives, who having some authority, get their “little joys” and “little satisfactions” from causing pain to others. It is especially sad, when the subject of their “small, easily attainable victories” are people who had already been harmed and unjustly treated by fate.
Martha, without any agreement with her family and friends, got the paintings back in the prison. She had proven thus to Mrs Governor, that they were not sold. She had proven it, she gave the paintings back, but they are not handed back to the owner.
Martha’s family’s concerns are confirmed.
On friday Martha’s sister personally demanded the return of the paintings that belonged to her. Earlier, Martha’s friends unsuccesfuly tried to do the same. Officer on duty came down especially to inform, that Mrs Governor, Mary O’Connor does not allow returning of the paintings. With no explanation.
Why are those paintings so important to the prison authorities?
Earlier, the Irish media informed, that Martha is making paintings in prison, and her family will sell those paintings, and by that Martha is supporting the family in raising funds to submit Martha’s case to ECHR. (Martha’s case will be submitted to ECHR, regardless of amount of funds raised).
Martha’s family didn’t sell those paintings and for now didn’t intend to. Even if they change their mind at any time, they don’t think that Mrs Governor of Dochas Centre prison in Dublin has any right to decide, what Martha’s family will do with the paintings. The limit of the powers of Mrs Governor is the gate of the prison. Mrs Governor can’t decide what Martha’s family can do with their property in Poland, or anywhere else.
It seems that Mrs Governor used Martha’s gullibility. Martha wanted very much to give some small things to her closest people. Believing in Mrs Governor’s good intentions, she got the paintings back to prison, to prove that sister doesn’t sell anything from given presents. Now Mrs Governor is not allowing to return the paintings to the owner.
Martha’s family, who is not as gullible and naive as Martha, predicted such scenario and such intentions. Sadly, they they learned about the fact too late.
Martha’s sister don’t act for money. If she demand’s returning of her property, first of all she points to the rules, to the violation of the law that happened. If no other argument convince Mrs Governor, this one should. Martha didn’t give those paintings “for storing” until she will get out of prison. Those paintings left the prison legally and their indisputable owner is Martha’s sister. Those paintings are not the property of the prison. They interested Mrs Governor only when they were found on the internet and in the newspapers.
Will everyone in Ireland, deal with Martha as they want, not counting with anything?
