‘In this winter time, I often think about the people of good heart…I hope your good heart sets an example to others…’

In this winter time, I often think about the people of good heart.
You and all the rest of the family are such a person.
I hope your good heart sets an example to others and repays you with the same.
Thank you for your good hearts with my loved ones.

Death always comes too early – words of gratitude for Senior Marshal of Polish Parliament Kornel Morawiecki

On Monday, September 30, 2019, before noon, in the presence of his so, the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, Marshal Senior Kornel Morawiecki had passed away.
In unanimous opinion of Polish people – remarkable personality, a man of action, a patriot, an outstanting Pole.
From our own experience we can also say, a man sensitive to someones harm.
Marshal Senior Kornel Morawiecki, despite attending important matters of the State, and his own health problems, took interest in the case of Martha Herda.
After getting to know the case, he saw the need to intervene in the case of Martha Herda.
The family asked him to wait untim Martha will find herself in Poland…

We wholeheartedly thank the Marshal Senior Kornel Morawiecki for his interest in the case of Martha Herda. This alone was a huge support for Martha and the source of great comfort.
Martha got to know about Marshal’s death on Monday noon. It was exceptionally hard day…

On behalf of Martha Herda and her Family, we express our sincere compassion to the family of late Marshal Senior Kornel Morawiecki.
We express our special sympathy to the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, and to Jerzy Morawiecki.
The more Outstanting Man, the greater emptiness remains…

“Nobody has to do the sentence with me…”

Lately Martha doesn’t even check whether someone is booked for visit or not.
Will anyone of her friends will come or not?
She doesn’t check, she doesn’t wait.
Does this mean that she accepted staying in prison?
Absolutely not.
She knows, she’s imprisoned wrongly.
She’s very active and she supports her family in the fight for her freedom.

Recently, one of her friends, that come visit her regularly, left for a short period of time.
Other friends couldn’t come to visit Martha also.
As a result, no one came to Martha for some time.
The family asked Martha how she handles herself.
Martha said, that she “undersands, that everyone has their families and their businesses. Nobody has to do the sentence with me…”
That’s why she stopped checking if someone comes. She stopped looking forward.
The visit of every person, who wishes to spend one’s time and money, to get to Martha. To get to Martha from different places in Ireland (not only from Dublin).
Every such visit becomes very nice and very pleasant surprise for Martha.

Martha is grateful for every such visit, and she thanks everyone from the heart.
She doesn’t look forward, she doesn’t force.
She understands.
She’s grateful, and she thanks…

Due to raising funds, Martha’s family limits flights to Ireland

The most important activities of Martha’s family includes caring for Martha’s good mental condition, and the fight for restoring justice for Martha – for FREEDOM.
For these two years the family tried to balance those goals.

One of assumed actions was visiting Martha once a month.
Most often two people went from Poland to visit Martha.
Most often those were Martha’s sister and her mum.
Single person trips also occured, but also a three person ones.
Despite the adversities, most oftenly, someone from Poland, from the family, visited Martha.
Different obstacles didn’t led to change in visits.
During one of visits in Ireland, Martha’s sister broke a leg.
For seeing Martha she hopped on one leg, because there was no time for the hospital.
There was no time – it was a choice: seeing Martha or hospital.
After seeing was the second choice: hospital, or a flight to Poland.
Decision was simple: hopping on one leg to the visit with Martha, then on one leg to the airplane, and in Poland – directly from the plane to the hospital, and the leg in the cast – a fracture with displacement.
At least one planned flight to Martha was gone.
Martha’s mum, before one of planned flights to Martha also severely broke her leg.
For a time she couldn’t com to her daughter, then she came with a crutch.
Two weeks before planned flight, one person from the family got injured in a car accident (a hit in the car from the back by another car – the effect: the neck in cervical collar). For the time of visit, the collar was taken off, and left in Poland/
The family had overcome different obstacles, but someone regularly was visiting Martha.
Today the family gathers funds and it has to manage them accordingly.
Now, a great amount of funding is needed.
Great amount of funding to lead the legal fight for freedom for Martha to a happy ending.

Due to this the family made a difficult decision, to cut costly visits with Martha in Ireland.
The family wanted to make Martha a surprise, and come on her birthday.
Unfortunately it was decided to give up the plan.

Now the family conducts extensive consultations.
Until the end of June, the family must be sure about the next actions regarding Martha.
Then the flight to Ireland is planned and a meeting with Martha’s new attorney – Frank Gearty, with whom the cooperation is coming very well.

We thank very much to TRUE FRIENDS of Martha from Ireland, who try, if possible, to visit Martha in prison twice a week.

Will Marta, in order to reduce the costs incurred by a family from Poland, decide to serve her sentence in Poland?
Will she want to change very good conditions in Dochas Centre prison in Dublin to worse conditions in prison in Poland, but closer to the family?
…time will tell…

We thank people from Ireland for wanting to visit Martha

Regarding last post of Martha’s family about prompt need of visiting Martha, we’ve received the information about people from Ireland wanting to visit her.
We thank you very much for sincere care about state of Martha and for wanting to help.
Sadly, beaurocratic Irish system doesn’t provide special situations and visits.
Martha can have two visits a week. But she can be visited by people, who were previously added to the list of visitors.
Adding people, or changing the list may occur only once a month, and just like everything considering Martha in prison, it’s done with delays and great difficulties.
On this list there are family members, friends, or Martha’s colleagues.
Now the list consists of 8 or 9 people.
If someone, for example, left to go to Poland, and will not be visiting Martha, she replaces that person with someone else, who wants to visit Martha (recently a very close friend of Martha returned to Poland).

Furthermore, when someone from from the list wants to visit Martha, he or she must first “book” the visit, at least 2 days before the actual visit. He or she can do it personally in the prison (during appointed hours: 10 a.m. – 12 noon and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.) or by the phone (during the same hours, but rarely someone picks up the phone) or by the interntet.

On Tuesday there are no visits in the prison.
Considering, that Martha can be visited twice a week, people from her visisting list consult each other regarding who will come and when.
Using the two visits in the week causes, that on the given week no one can visit her anymore.

On current week, visits of Martha’s friends on Friday and Sunday are already booked.
The friday visit will be especially important.
If Martha’s mental and emotional state will not improve, the family from Poland considers additional, urgent, and unplanned flight to Ireland on Saturday.
Martha’s sister, and possibly Martha’s mum already prepare for this.
If Martha’s family comes from Poland, they are entitled for a “special” visit (it must be booked also). “Special” visit of family from Poland causes, that on the given week no one can visit her anymore (“special” visit nullifies two visits a week)

Caring for Martha’s proper mental and emotional state is a priority in her family’s actions.
Thank you very much for all the help.
